The Lake Constance is situated in the three country border area Germany, Austria and Switzerland and offers visitors a variety of impressions. Sails, that trail away to the horizon, palm trees along waterfront promenades, vineyards and orchards on gentle hills, the mountain range with Alpine peaks – all this combines Mediterranean flair with the charm of the hilly landscape of the Alpine foothills.
The lovely landscape, the islands of Mainau and of Reichenau, palaces, castles, museums, churches and places with melodious names as Constance, Meersburg, Lindau and Bregenz please the lovers of nature and culture
. The Lake, the beaches and the paths for hikers and cyclists offer visitors a wide range of sport activities. The region is also famous for its culinary specialties, such as wine, Swabian home made “Maultaschen” (pasta pockets), “Spätzle and Knöpfle” (pasta) and whitefish from Lake Constance.
